Hello everyone. Today is a bit short, and it also marks the final part of this cliched named series.
That's right! The curse is almost over.
For today's finale, it came to my attention that while I was happily talking of things surrounding the piece of plastic, I never talked about the piece itself. Maybe most of you already have an idea or have seen one, but if you are one of the lucky 10,000 then here you have a description.
The board is a simple rectangular piece of wood or plastic, with an accompanying small planchette with a middle hole. The participants (from one to many) surround the board and each one touches the planchette. Afterwards, the summoned spirit or whatever driving force makes the planchette move, spelling the answers letter by letter. The board, besides numbers and letters, has autocomplete integrated; yes, no, and other quick words facilitate the session.
Of extra interest, the superstition around the Ouija board insists in a series of rules, with the goal to protect the participants and make sure no side effects occur.
Of the top of my head:
- Never play alone.
- Always say goodbye.
- Don't play on top of a cemetery or an ancient burial site
